I'm an applied researcher with over ten years of experience in mathematical modeling (including developing machine learning models), forecasting, simulation, optimization, and policy design. I have worked on innovative research problems and built products in domains like financial planning, automated profitability management, behavioral economics, workforce planning and managemement, and advertising.
I have worked on all stages of product development from ideation to launch, including data processing and visualization, developing models, experimentation, and writing and deploying scalable production code. I have worked with a variety of languages and technologies like Python, R, Matlab, Java, Javascript, Spark, EMR, SQL, Airflow, etc.
I also have experience in leading a team of researchers, and have collaborated with people of diverse backgrounds and skill sets including business stakeholders, scientists, program managers, software developers, data engineers, and senior executives.
My expertise is leveraging modeling and optimization techniques to address real world business challenges. To that end, I have employed diverse methodologies and models in my research including dynamical models (state space, ARIMA, ARIMAX), machine learning (classification, information retrieval, deep learning), natural language processing, experiment design and causal inference, and surveys and qualitative analysis.
